You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise: you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely…For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made…Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. Psalm 139:1-3,13,16

My verse

My aunt encouraged me to quote a verse when Satan is on attack with my spirit. I want to give you my verse so that anyone who wants to claim it for themselves and call on God and his promises can use it as well.
"Blessed are all who fear the Lord, who walk in obedience to him. You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours. Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house; your children will be like olive shoots around your table. Yes, this will be the blessing for the man who fears the Lord." Psalm 128:1-4…AMEN. That pretty much says it doesn't it?

I also want to give a big shout out to MAMA MIA jewelry on Facebook. She has a site on and at a time when I was really low… I won a contest on her site for a free necklace and she etched Psalm 128 on it for me so that I could wear it as a reminder of this promise from God.

  1. Hi Alisa,
I've come over from Deni's blog and i just want to say that i am sorry for your loss. I also want to say that i found your blog at the right time, I must say that I had a moment of feeling sorry for myself, but reading your words and seeing your faith and reading this verse has given me comfort. for that i say thank you.

  2. Hellow Alisa,

I too have come from Deni's blog and am one of the "Fab 5". Deni, Shandrea (poster above), Nan, Angie and I are all BLM's who met in an online miscarriage support group. I will forever be grateful for them and the love they've shown me. This community is amazing and I'm so very happy you are here with us.

Wishing you success as you journey forward :) We are all here for you.

    Big HUGS

  3. I am so glad to have you, don't worry we all need a little moment of feeling sorry every once in a while. Just as long as you pick back up and get going again. God is so good--he gives us encouragement through the words of others, sends another Christian to give us a hug when we need a touch, and helps us turn the page to just the right verse when we need a sign!
